Sarana Khoo (Subang Jaya, Selangor) is an art instructor cum painting therapist who has a penchant for art since young. She views art as a path to self-discovery, to a deeper appreciation of nature and culture, and importantly, as a means of fostering positive human connection. Sarana’s dedication to Japanese pastel art in the past decade has drawn international students of all ages and walks of life. Her works were featured in several local and international group exhibitions. Sarana aspires to exemplify Art-as-Transformation through visual art, therapy and education.
Sarana’s Profile:
• The 1st JPHAA Pastel Art Instructor-Trainer in Malaysia with more than 12 years of teaching experience.
• Flower of Crystal Art (JP) Premium Instructor-Trainer
• Painting Therapist in practicum, with the backgrounds of Anthroposophy, Liane Collot d’Herbois and Goethe’s Colour Theory
• Organiser-Curator for: - Inaugural Pastel Nagomi Art Group Exhibition – Tales of Nagomi, 2018 - Inaugural Flower of Crystal Art Group Exhibition – Enchanting Bloom, 2024
• Spearheaded #1000NagomiZoom – online meaningful art sessions during MCO lockdowns, which attracted thousands of people in each session from all over the world.
• Certified Children's Art Teacher • NCT-TTT, Trainer with National Competency Standard accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources

• 大马首位JPHAA日本和谐粉彩 & 日本结晶之花艺术高级导师 . 于2014年开始在本地积极推广身心疗愈的和谐粉彩社区性艺术，培养种子导师，学员来自除了来自新马、也来自中港台、泰印、英美澳。
• 马来西亚官方人力资源部认证讲师 NCS-TTT
• 儿童美育认证老师 . 曾开办儿童画室，引导孩子遨游在艺术色彩的世界里开心地画出自己的一片天地。
• 2020年疫情封锁初期发起线上粉彩公益课 #1000NagomiZoom, 陪伴数千人一起待在家透过绘画减压，安住身心齐抗疫
• 两场国际粉彩艺术群展主办兼策展人: - Tales of Nagomi 粉彩の物語 , 2018 - Enchanting Blooms綺麗之境 , 2024
• 2017年开始接触由英国画家兼人智学绘画治疗师Liane Collot der’Bhois 所创的体质绘画疗法，目前积极实习中，成为一名绘画治疗工作者
